US, Saudi dominate Yemen security help (Reuters)

While exact figures are not available, it is clear from what has been published that the two main foreign backers of Yemen's security operations against its own insurgents and the Al Qaeda cells in its terrotiry are the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. "Security in Yemen has become a pressing international priority since al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula showed its ambition to strike outside its base in Yemen when it claimed a failed Dec. 25 attempt to blow up a U.S. airliner."
