In an effort to expand tourism, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is making it easier for travel agents to organise tourist visits to the Kingdom. Part of the appeal of the Kingdom isits culture which is very different from that in the countries of most foreign tourists. At the same time, tourism is also a sign that the Kingdom is opening up a little to the outside world, and this, in turn, is evidence of the Kingdom's determination to diversify it economy away from dependence on oil.
