27Nov2005 Saudi Arabia Gives $1.8m To UNICEF For Palestinians

Riyadh, 27 November, 2005

Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, has issued his directives to remit $1.8 million (SR 6.75 million) to UNICEF for carrying out relief and humanitarian programs in Palestine.

This sum constitutes the first installment for carrying out the program of diseases control and making school bags available for 90,000 students through UNICEF.

Dr Sa'ed Al-Harethi, the Advisor of the Interior Minister, said that development comes within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinians and UNICEF.
