25Nov2005 Saudi Arabia Imports More Than 350,000 Cars Annually

The Riyadh Exhibitions Limited Company organizes on Sunday here the Twenty-Fourth International Cars Exhibition for 2006 (Auto-Shop) which also includes the Ninth International Exhibition for equipment , maintenance centers and spare parts.

The company's Deputy Director, Mohammad Al-Husseini said that the exhibition is held in one of the most important Middle Eastern markets, which imports more than 350,000 cars each year (costing more than SR30 billion), in addition to spare parts and auto-tools of more than SR8 billion.

Al-Husseini added that several car companies will participate in the show such as Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Honda, Hyundai, Peugeot, Isuzu, Lamborghini, Deer and Sherry. Also, Tata Company will show its 2006 trucks. In addition, there are companies from different countries such as Turkey, India, China and The United Arab Emirates (UAE) entering the market for the first time with prospects of appointing distributors all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On the fringe of the main Exhibition, he disclosed that the Japanese Industrial Show-2005 will also be organized for the first time under the auspices of the Trade Committee of the Japanese Foreign Ministry. As many as thirty-six Japanese industrial companies will participate in this show.

Organizers are expecting that the exhibition would attract almost 100,000 visitors.
