Saudi Arabia's national team defeated, Wednesday evening, Syria 3 to 1 in the second Asian group qualifying match of the Continental Youth Soccer Cup finals, scheduled to take place next year in India.
Ahmad Al-Kaabi scored the first Saudi goal almost at the end of the first half (41st minute). In the second half, Ibrahim Shrahili scored the second goal for Saudi Arabia in the 27th minute and Mohammad Al-Sahlawi netted the third goal in the 44th minute.
For Syria, Mahmoud Khaddoj was the sole goal scorer in the 41st minute of the second half.
On Friday, Saudi Arabia faces Oman which again plays another match with Syria on Sunday.
Only the team with the highest points in this group will qualify for the Continental Youth Soccer Cup finals.
