The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received at his palace here today Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, President of Youth Welfare and Chairman of the Saudi Football Association (SFA); his deputy Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; princes; members of Higher Organizing Committee of 1st Islamic Solidarity Games Championship, recently held in the Kingdom's various regions; members of SFA's board of directors; and members of Saudi teams which participated in the championship.
The meeting was also to mark the occasion of the Kingdom's 1st Football Team qualifying to the World Cup Finals 2006, due to be held in Germany.
The Monarch congratulated them on these sports achievements, urging them to develop their skills and earnestly work to raise the Kingdom's flag high at all sports arenas.
He stressed the necessity for adhering to the correct Islamic religion and performing in the contests as one team, wishing them all success.
On his part, Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz expressed his appreciation and thanked the Monarch for the audience and his directives, which will be a guidance for them in all sports competitions.
He presented a memorial gift to the Monarch on this occasion.
The audience was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King; Prince Majid bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Abdulmohsin bin Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri, Advisor to the King and Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Tassan, Chief of the King's Special Affairs.
