The Chinese Deputy Culture Minister, Chawo Yusoi and the accompanying delegation arrived here on Friday evening to participate in the Chinese Cultural week due to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He was welcomed at the King Khaled International Airport by Dr Abdulaziz Al-Sabeel, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Cultural Affairs, and a number of senior officials.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, the Chinese official said the organization of the Chinese cultural week in the Kingdom embodies the existing friendly relations between Saudi Arabia and China.
On his part, Dr Al-Sabeel highlighted the history and civilization of China, and said the Kingdom is keen on getting acquainted with cultures and civilizations of other friendly countries.
