17Nov2005 Saudi Minister To Chair Islamic Affairs Ministers’ Meeting In Kuwait

Riyadh, 17 November, 2005

The Executive Council, an affiliate of the Conference of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dawah (calling for Islam) and Guidance ministers in the Islamic world will hold its ninth meeting in Kuwait from November 22 to 23.

The meeting will be chaired by the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dawah (calling for Islam) and Guidance, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Al-sheikh.

Sheikh Saleh stated that the meeting will discuss many issues such as the development of mosques, the rational dialogue on issues relating to Islam, the role of Dawah (calling for Islam) and a number of other issues.

The Council will also discuss the resolutions and recommendations of the Conference of Islamic Affairs and Endowment, Dawah (calling for Islam) and Guidance ministers in the Islamic world.

In this regard, Sheikh Saleh highlighted Saudi Arabia's care and support to reveal the noble truth of Islam and to correct the wrong image of Muslims in many parts of the world.

The council includes ministers from Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Iraq, Gambia, Kuwait, Egypt and Morocco.

The Council aims to reinfoce solidarity and cooperation among the member countries in all respects, and support the Islamic organizations all over the world to present Islam in its most appropriate perspective.
