The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in the conference of the International Rehabilitation Organization, which was inaugurated here on Monday.
Representatives of 38 countries and organizations are participating in the conference organized under the title of 'Rights of Disability in a Changeable World'.
The Kingdom's delegation, which comprises representatives of ministries of social affairs, education, health, foreign affairs and labor, is led by the Undersecretary of the Social Affairs Ministry for Social Affairs, Awad Al-Raddadi.
The Kingdom has presented a number of papers at the conference including a paper on the Kingdom’s experience in the field of vocational rehabilitation for the disabled.
In the paper, Al-Raddadi pointed out that there are independent vocational rehabilitation centers in Riyadh and Dammam, in addition to rehabilitation departments for girls and boys in the comprehensive rehabilitation centers throughout the Kingdom.
