13Nov2005 King Abdullah Receives U.S. Secretary Of State

Jeddah, 13 November, 2005

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received here today the U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice and the accompanying delegation.

During the audience, the Secretary conveyed the greetings of the U.S. President, George W. Bush to the King who in turn sent his greetings to the President.

International and regional developments were discussed. They included the developments of the Palestinian cause and the situation in Iraq, as well as boosting cooperation between the two countries in all fields to serve their common interests.

The audience was attended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister; Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America, Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Secretary General of the National Security Council, and A'adel Aljobair, the advisor at the Royal Court.
