The Saudi Ambassador to Niger, Abdulkareem bin Mohammed Al-Malki stated that the Saudi relief assistance to help people affected by drought in Niger includes providing various food materials, supporting the strategic reserve, sending five relief planes, each loaded with 70 tons of relief assistance, establishing and operating seven health centers as well as implementing developmental projects by the Saudi Fund For Development.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Malki said that the Saudi relief assistance will be handed to the Committee of Food Crises, which is linked to Niger's Council of Ministers, which in turn will distribute it to the affected people. Officials from the Saudi Fund For Development and the Saudi Red Crescent will supervise the health and developmental operations, the Ambassador pointed out.
He also commended the great work of Prince Sultan Cultural Center in Niamey, which was established at the Crown Prince's own expense, amounting to 4 million US dollars, and which will soon be rated by the im World League.
He also commended the Saudi-Nigerian relations.
