10Nov2005 Saudi Arabia Delivers 138-tons Of Foodstuffs To Niger

Niamey, Niger, 10 November, 2005

Saudi Arabia delivered on Thursday urgent food aid weighing 138 tons to Niger.

The aid was ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to alleviate the effects of food crisis suffered by the people of Niger as a result of drought and locusts.

The aid was flown to the capital of Niger, Niamey, by two Saudi cargo planes today and the day before yesterday.
