Crown Prince Sultan Patronizes Inaugural Ceremony

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, patronized here on Tuesday evening the inaugural ceremony of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Sciences and Technology.

He was welcomed by Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs, and other princes and senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Crown Prince Sultan hoped that the Center would positively contribute to educational and scientific developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Responding to questions raised by the press, Crown Prince Sultan said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, has been working for the service of the religion and the citizens.

Crown Prince Sultan reiterated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the country of Islam and Arabism, adding that: "The Kingdom does not commit any act that may insult any other country".

He pointed out that the Kingdom, the cradle of Islam, has been honored by the service of the two Holy Mosques.

Crown Prince Sultan urged the Saudi press to be objective and to follow the policy of accuracy and constructive criticism, and further more, to cooperate with the rulers in all matters that may benefit the Saudi people.

On his forthcoming visit to Egypt, Crown Prince Sultan said his visit comes in response to an invitation from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and added that the visit will positively contribute to further enhancing the existing Saudi-Egyptian friendship.

On issue of unemployment in the Kingdom, Crown Prince Sultan said this issue exists in all developing and developed countries, and added: "With the grace of Almighty Allah, and in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the cooperation of the concerned ministries, unemployment will soon disappear".

Crown Prince Sultan confirmed the keenness of the Saudi Government on further improving the performance of all sectors of the armed forces.

Responding to a question about Pakistan, Crown Prince Sultan said: "Pakistan is a Muslim country which works for enhancing cooperation with Arabs and Muslims".
