Crown Prince Sultan To Open Science And Technology Center

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, will patronize tomorrow the opening of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Science and Technology in Khobar.

The center aims at simplifying complicated scientific ideas and topics and their applications.

The center focuses on serving Saudi citizens in particular and other GCC countries' citizens in general.

The center contains seven halls devoted for various areas of science and technology. They were carefully chosen to boost topics taught in Saudi education curricula.

The halls of the center cover various fields including earth, space, seas and exploration.

On his part, Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi, director general of Prince Sultan Charitable Foundation, described the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Science and Technology Center, established at a cost of SR230 million, as a gateway of science and technology.

The center's innovative programs are designed to make learning fun and interesting and will play an effective role in the future of science and technology within the Kingdom.

The center uses interactive and hands-on exhibits that engage visitors and makes learning science an enjoyable family experience, its director, Riyad Al-Adel said.
