18Oct2005 Saudi Committee For Relief Of Palestinian People Signs Agreement

Riyadh, 18 October, 2005

In implementation of directives of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister and the General Supervisor of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People, Dr Sa'ed Al-Harithi, the Advisor to the Interior Minister and Head of the Committee signed today a joint cooperation agreement between the Committee and the Program of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

On the other side, the agreement was signed by the Program's Representative in the Middle East, John Loloji; Palestinian Assistant Minister of Education, Dr. Abdulkareem Yosef Al-Haj Al-Zughair and Palestinian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mustafa Hashim Deeb.

Dr. Al-Harithi pointed out that the agreement aims to provide vaccines to fight various diseases in Palestine at a cost of SR11.25 million, together with a school bag project for 90,000 students, at a cost of SR2.25 million.

He noted that the Committee has executed more than 36 relief and humanitarian programs for the Palestinian people.
