The former Saudi ambassador to the UK and Ireland and ambassador-designate to the US, Prince Turki Al-Faisal held here last night the annual Ramadan iftar (fast breaking) party on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The party was attended by Arab and Islamic countries' ambassadors to London and diplomats, as well as members of the Arab and Islamic community here.
During the party, Prince Turki Al-Faisal delivered a speech thanking the attendees on this occasion.
On behalf of the Arab ambassadors, the Kuwaiti ambassador to the UK, Khalid Al-Dowaisan delivered a speech commending the efforts made by Prince Turki Al-Faisal during his work in the UK and wished him success in his new task as Saudi ambassador to the US.
At the end of the party, Prince Turki Al-Faisal bade farewell to the ambassadors and the audience.
He later left London heading for Washington to start his new job as Saudi ambassador to the US.
He was seen off by a number of officials.
