The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has issued his directives to extend SR500 million to Pakistan, said a statement released here by the Royal Court on Friday.

The amount will be used in reconstruction of some of the infrastructures, notably schools, hospitals and roads.

The Monarch ordered the Minister of Finance to enable the Saudi Development Fund to carry out the Royal Order immediately in coordination with the concerned authorities in Pakistan.

Earlier King Abdullah had ordered airlift operations for carrying relief materials to Pakistan, which was hit by an earthquake last week.

He also ordered last Monday organization of a donations campaign in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the assistance of the victims of the earthquake.
