Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Higher Panel of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud World Prize for Prophet's Sunnah (Tradition) and Contemporary Islamic Studies, patronized here on Wednesday evening the first concluding ceremony of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Contest for Prophet's Sayings Memorization, organized by the Prize's General Secretariat.
Upon arrival at the venue, he was received by Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah Region; Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Prize's General Supervisor; Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs; other princes and officials.
Prince Naif was accompanied by a number of princes.
A speech ceremony was held on this occasion.
Prince Naif pointed out in his speech that the correct understanding and memorization of Sunnah will prevent our sons from deviating thoughts.
He announced the next session of the Prophet's Sayings Memorization Contest will include girls.
Prince Naif also announced that a permanent headquarters for the Prize's Secretariat is under construction. It will be a prominent landmark in Madinah and a world center for bringing together scholars, researchers and students.
Addressing the ceremony, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz said that the prize has reflected the government's interest, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince, in the Holy Quran and Sunnah (Tradition) which have put the Kingdom in a leading position in the world.
The speakers included General President of the Grand and Prophet's Mosques; Minister of Education Dr. Abdullah bin Salih Al-Obaid and Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Prize's Secretary General, Dr. Saed Al-Urabi Al-Harithi.
Then Dr. Al-Harithi announced the winners of the prize.
Prince Naif handed the prizes to the winners from different regions of the Kingdom.
Later Prince Naif visited the exhibition accompanying the contest.
