04Aug2005 Crown Prince Sultan Receives Citizens

Riyadh, 4th August, 2005

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, received here last night the Ulema (Muslim scholars) and a group of citizens who came to offer condolences on the death of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz.

He also received here separately last night, the South Korean Premier and the accompanying delegation, the Crown Prince of Nepal, who delivered to him a written message for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz from the King of Nepal, and King Siraguddin bin Sayyed Jamalel-Leil of Malaysia.

They offered condolences on the death of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz.

He also received, separately, officers of the armed forces, led by General Salih bin Ali Al-Muhayya, the Chief of General Staff.

They came to greet him and to pledge allegiance to the Kingdom's leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz

Crown Prince Sultan highlighted the excellent services extended by Late King Fahd to his nation.

He highlighted the important role being played by the armed forces in the service of the country, and reiterated the keenness of the Saudi officials to further develop them.

General Salih Al-Muhayya, speaking on behalf of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces, pledged allegiance to the leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General.

The meeting was attended by Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Defense and Aviation Minister, Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, and Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Assistant Defense and Aviation Minister for Military Affairs.
