Crown Prince Meets National Strategy Team for Tackling Poverty

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard met here today Abdulmohsin bin Abdulaziz Al-Akkas, the Minister of Social Affairs who is also Chairman of the National Strategy Team for Tackling Poverty, and the team's members.

The team listened to the Crown Prince's directives on exerting more efforts to achieve the desired objectives of the strategy.

The Crown Prince received a copy of this strategy.

In his speech, Al-Akkas indicated that Crown Prince's visit to some of the slums in the month of Ramadan in 1423H was a turning point which was followed by a royal decree to form the team.

He pointed out that the strategy, including 19 studies and reports, had been completed, noting that it had taken nearly 24 months to reach conclusions and recommendations on policies, visions, programs and projects aiming at tackling and fighting poverty in the Kingdom.

The audience was attended by Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland; Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Italy; Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Crown Prince's Court and Prince Dr. Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Saud, Advisor at the Crown Prince's Court.
