27Jul2005 IIRO Denounces Terrorist Attacks in Sharm El-Sheikh

Riyadh, 27 July 2005

The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has denounced the terrorist attacks on the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh.

In a press statement issued yesterday, the Organization's Secretary-General, Dr. Adnan Khalil Basha, said IIRO strongly condemned these heinous crimes.

"The killings and destruction committed by the deviant group is an indication of their deviation from the right path of our religion. It shows that this group is engaged in aggression and aberration," he said.

The explosions that ripped through the idyllic resort "targeted peaceful people and are not condoned by Islam," Dr. Basha said.
