The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Hajj Research Institute at Um-Alqura University won the best scientific research prize during the International Symposium for Geographic and Remote Sensation Information System Applications in the Middle East.

Dr. Osamah bin Fadhel Al-Bar, Dean of the Institute, said a scientific research, jointly conducted by Dr. Abdulateef bin Abdulaziz Al-Harthi and Dr. Nabil bin Abdulqadir Kushaq, in which they used latest technologies in air photography and analyzed digital photographs in Hajj applications, was awarded the prize.
