07May2005 Crown Prince Abdullah and Jordan's King hold talks

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Jordan's King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussain held a meeting here today.

Crown Prince Abdullah briefed the Jordanian King on the positive and fruitful outcomes achieved in the interests of Arab and Islamic nations during the Crown Prince's recently-concluded visits to the Republic of France and the United States of America.

They discussed the overall developments in the Arab and Islamic arenas, led by the Palestinian cause and the situations in Iraq and Lebanon.

They also reviewed the developments in the international arena and the position of the two countries towards them in addition to aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields.

The meeting was attended by the Saudi official delegation accompanying the Crown Prince.

On the Jordanian side, it was attended by a number of princes; Jordan's Premier Adnan Badran and senior officials.

The Crown Prince and the Jordanian King held a bilateral closed-door meeting.

The Jordanian King held a dinner party in honor of the Crown Prince and his accompanying delegation.

Later, after his brief visit, Crown Prince Abdullah left Marka Military airport in Amman.

The Crown Prince accompanied by the official delegation was seen off by King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussain; a number of princes; premier; ministers and officials
