30/01/205 Al Alsheikh Highlights Role of Security Men

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance has urged the citizens and residents to support the efforts of the security men to enhance the security and stability in the country.

Speaking on the occasion of the national solidarity campaign for combating terrorism and the international conference for combating terrorism, due to be held in Riyadh next week, al Alsheikh said: "It is high time for the Ulema (Muslim scholars), thinkers, intellectuals and academicians to shoulder their responsibility towards the enlightenment of the people, notably the young people, and to protect them from the deviant ideas'.

He noted that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance has formed teams to undertake the supervision of the implementation of the national solidarity campaign against terrorism.

Al Alsheikh pointed out that Islam advocates moderation and obedience to the rulers, as well as the avoidance of bloodshed.

'In addition to the radio and television programs, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance is planning to distribute some publications and cassettes for the enlightenment of the people against terrorism', he said.

Meanwhile, Al Alsheikh warned against the plots hatched by enemies of Islam against Islam and Muslims, and urged the Muslims to remain vigilant and alert.
