09Dec2004 Saudi oil production 9.5 million bpd

Cairo, 9th December 2004

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng Ali Al-Naimi said that the Kingdom’s oil production is still 9.5 million barrels per day.

In a press statement published in Cairo today, Al-Naimi said that the Kingdom has maintained the above level of production since last August as part of the efforts exerted by OPEC member states to meet increasing global demand for oil.

“The Kingdom does not face any problems in marketing its oil production, and has been working to meet the requests of its customers,” he said.

Al-Naimi pointed out that despite the fact that supply exceeds demand he is satisfied with the increase of stockpiles in oil consuming countries.
