05Dec2004 GCC Ministerial Council to discuss Iraq, Middle East peace process

Riyadh, 5th December 2004

The GCC Ministerial Council, which comprises Foreign Ministers of GCC member countries, will hold its 93rd session in Manama on Tuesday.

The Foreign Ministers will review issues pertaining to the 25th session of the GCC Supreme Council, scheduled for Bahrain on 20-21 December 2004.

A joint meeting of GCC Foreign and Finance Ministers is due to take place on 7 December 2004 to review a number of economic issues of concern to GCC members.

GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah said that the Ministerial Council would discuss terrorism, Iraqi occupation of UAE islands, GCC-Iranian relations, the current situation in Iraq and the Middle East peace process.
