A Saudi royal air force F-15 fighter crashed during training flight today, killing its pilot. No further damage was sustained.

An official source of the Ministry of Defense and Aviation said that at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday 2 Shaaban 1425 H., a Saudi Royal Air force F-15 fighter crashed during a training flight as part of Gulf Arrows - 2 manoeuvre jointly conducted with air forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states at King Abdulaziz air base, killing its pilot First Lieutenant Mohammed Ahmed Alkibaibi. No other losses or damage was caused. An ad hoc committee was formed to investigate into the real reasons of the accident.
