15Aug2004 Saudi Arabia pledges SR40 million in aid to Darfur

Riyadh, 15th August 2004

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pledged humanitarian aid worth SR40 million to Sudan’s western province of Darfur.

“The Kingdom has allocated SR40 million-worth of basic humanitarian aid to Darfur province, which includes foodstuffs and medicines,” said Head of the Saudi Red Crescent Society Abdulrahman Al-Swilem.
