A source at the Interior Ministry said that all reports on the identity of the militant suspect shot dead by security authorities in Makkah were untrue. The identity of the man is still under investigation, and will be disclosed when verified.
Interior Ministry Spokesman Brig. General Mansoor Al-Turki asked media representatives to guarantee the veracity of reports by checking with the correct authorities before publishing material to protect private rights and the interests of security investigations.
