13Jul2004 Saudi Consulate recommences operations in Iranian city of Mash’had

Tehran, 13th July 2004

The Saudi Consulate in Mash’had, north-eastern Iran, has resumed its activities. The Head of the Mash’had branch of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ghulam Ali Arbab Khalis, said that Saudi Consul General Bandar Mohammed Jamil officially assumed office in Mash’had on Monday.

Khalis expressed hope that the Saudi Consulate would contribute to further enhancing Saudi-Iranian relations in economic, cultural, tourism and religious fields.
