08Jul2004 Websites for pilgrims seeking accommodation

Jeddah, 8 July, 2004

Prince AbdulMajeed Bin Abdul-Aziz, the Governor of Makkah region, recently inaugurated websites providing accommodation information to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. The websites are www.makkahgis.net and www.madinahgis.net, both in English and Arabic. "The database contains 700 hotels and furnished apartments in Makkah and about 140 in Madinah," according to a spokesman for the designers.
