Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has ordered the amendment of Article Four of the statute of the Supreme Economic Council.
The Crown Prince and Commander of the National Guard, will chair the Supreme Economic Council and His Royal Highness the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, will be Deputy Chairman of the Council.
The Council’s membership will include the Chairman of the Cabinet’s General Committee, two Ministers of State and Members of the Cabinet, the Ministers of Labour, Commerce and Industry, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Finance, Economy and Planning, Water and Electricity, and Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA).
