26May2004 Saudi Arabia condemns firing of missiles at mosque

Jeddah, 26th May 2004

The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned the firing of missiles at Ali bin Abi Taleb Mosque in Najaf, Iraq.

An official source at the Foreign Ministry said that the Kingdom denounced any such action targeting mosques and graveyards, which are sanctities in the Islam faith and should be respected and not violated by military force.
