Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Ambassador to Britain and Ireland, said that Saudi Arabia has implemented significant reforms.
In a speech today on the fringes of meetings of the World Economic Forum in Amman, he explained that the Kingdom is keen to undertake reform that is compatible with Islamic Sharia law, on which government of the Kingdom is based, and with Saudi culture and traditions. He added that reform should emanate from the region under development and not from foreign sources and influence.
Prince Turki highlighted various reforms implemented in the Kingdom, including broadening political participation, boosting the contribution of women to Saudi development, and enhancing education and development in other fields.
