12May2004 Prince Sultan awarded honorary membership

The 14th International Conference of Environment has awarded its honorary membership to Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General and Chairman of Board of Directors of National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development in recognition of the Kingdom's efforts in the field of environment protection, natural resources, and continual international contribution to environmental affairs.

The conference, held here on May 7-8, also decided to award its honorary memberships to Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister and Commission's Managing Director and Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the General President of Meteorology and Environment Protection.

Earlier, Prince Sultan won Peace and Environment Prize for 2003 awarded by Munich-based Arab and European Cooperation Center.
