Shoura Council finalises study on maintaining integrity of public finances

Riyadh, 2 May, 2004

The Shoura Council, presided over by its Chairman Sheikh Dr Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, finalized in its session today the study of the national strategy to protect integrity and to fight corruption and bribery, in preparation for its submission to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, the Council's Secretary General Dr. Homoud bin Abdulaziz Al-Badr said that the Council also discussed a draft regulation on the misuse of public money and authority, noting that the Council will vote on this regulation in a coming session.
