Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) and Iran’s Hajj and Ziyarat Organization on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding on next year’s Hajj season.
The memorandum was signed by SAA Director General, Dr Khaled A. bin Bakr, and Iran’s Deputy Minister of Guidance and Head of Iran’s Hajj and Ziyarat Organization, Syed Ahmed Zarhani.
The signing ceremony took place at SAA’s Jeddah headquarters and was attended by Shareef Mahdavi, the Iranian Consul General in Jeddah.
Under the memorandum of understanding, SAA is to carry 150,000 Iranian Umrah performers during the period from 15 Safar until the end of Ramadan 1425H. Iranian Umrah performers will be carried on board SAA flights from a number of airports in Iran to Madinah; they will depart from Jeddah on return flights to Iran.
