28Feb2004 GCC Foreign Ministers commence meetings

Riyadh, 28th February 2004

The Foreign Ministers of Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states began their 90th session here today.

Kuwait’s Information Minister, Mohammed Abu Al-Hassan, delivered a speech on behalf of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, who is also Chairman of the current session. He emphasized the importance of the meeting, which will focus on the development of the Arab situation in line with regional and international changes. He condemned all terrorist acts, stressing GCC determination to exert all possible efforts to combat and eradicate terrorism.

Upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport, the Ministers were received by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, GCC Secretary General Hamad Al-Atiyyah, other officials and GCC Ambassadors to the Kingdom.
