The Iranian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ali Asghar Khaji, described the future of relations between the Kingdom and Iran as positive, highlighting the broad scope for further developing bilateral economic ties.
In a press statement circulated today by the Iranian News Agency “IRNA,” the Iranian Ambassador said that regional developments have prompted greater cooperation between Riyadh and Tehran, noting that political cooperation between the two countries has moved from bilateral to regional cooperation. He announced that the Iranian Cultural Week will be held in Riyadh for the first time in the history of relations between the two countries next April, and will include several cultural fields.
He noted that the sixth meeting of the Saudi-Iranian Joint Committee will be held in Tehran on 13 March, 2004. The meeting will discuss financial cooperation and the enhancement of cooperation in commercial and customs fields.
