The Egyptian Minister of Tourism, Dr Mamdouh Al-Beltaji, highlighted the firm relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
In a press statement, Dr Al-Beltaji said that Saudi authorities and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism are cooperating to facilitate procedures for pilgrims performing this year’s Hajj.
Dr Ahmed Nazeef, the Egyptian Minister of Telecommunications, lauded the excellent telecommunications facilities in the holy places.
Egyptian Minister of Health Dr Mahmoud Awad Tajuddin said that Saudi and Egyptian health officials are cooperating to provide Egyptian pilgrims with the required medical services. Highlighting the excellent medical services in the Kingdom, Dr Tajuddin noted that the Egyptian siamese twins were treated in the Kingdom, at the expense of Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard.
Undersecretary of the Egyptian Tourism Ministry for Religious Affairs, Hassan Jamaluddin, praised facilities provided by the Saudi Embassy in Cairo for Egyptian pilgrims. He noted that Hajj visas were issued within a record time this year, without complications for tourism companies or governmental and private establishments.
Jamaluddin said that the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt and Saudi consuls in Suez, Alexandria and Cairo had exerted their utmost efforts to issue Hajj visas in the shortest possible time. He pointed out that the Egyptian Tourism Ministry’s mission, which recently visited the holy places in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressed appreciation of the development achievements accomplished in Makkah and Madinah.
Former Lebanese Premier Dr Salim Al-Hoss lauded the intense efforts being exerted by the Kingdom to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims.
