08Jan2004 Education delegation briefs British media on Saudi educational reform

London, 8th January 2004

Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, today held a luncheon party in honour of a visiting Saudi educational delegation, led by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Girls Education Affairs, Dr Abdul Aziz Al-Harthi, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Boys Education Affairs, Dr Khalid Al-Awad. The function was attended by representatives of the British media.

Dr Al-Harthi and Dr Al-Awad are in London to attend the Education Technology Exhibition, which is currently in progress in London. During the luncheon party, they briefed attendees on educational development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They noted the requirement of further scientific and technological resources to assist Saudi students meet future needs of the labour market. They then answered questions posed by the British media representatives on educational reforms in the Kingdom.
