05Jan2004 King Fahd orders distribution of 76,000 copies of Holy Quran

Riyadh, 5th January 2004

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz ordered the distribution of copies of the Holy Quran to a number of government establishments, companies, organisations, private schools, and Muslim study groups. A total of 76,000 copies of the Holy Quran and explication of its meanings in English, Urdu, French, Indonesian and Filipino, printed by the Madinah-based King Fahd Holy Quran Complex, will be distributed.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Salih Al Al-Sheikh, said that the Ministry of Defence and Aviation, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, the Saudi Consulate in Los Angels, Cairo International Book Exhibition, the Rabat-based Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the International Book Exhibition in Senegal, and a number of Holy Quran memorization groups, schools, companies, and establishments in various parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be provided with copies of the Holy Quran.
