03Jan2004 Crown Prince receives leading scholars

Riyadh, 3 January, 2004

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, received here today scholars and thinkers who participated in the Second National Forum of the Intellectual Dialogue organized by King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue in Makkah last week.

In brief remarks during the audience, the Crown Prince thanked the participants and praised the harmony and agreement shown by them. He stressed the importance of following Islamic moderation in peoples' public and private lives. The Crown Prince underlined women's rights in Islam. He urged people to be patient and not rush results. The Crown Prince noted that dialogue yields good results.

Those who spoke during the audience included General President of the Affairs of the Grand and Prophet's Mosques and Head of the Second National Forum of the Intellectual Dialogue Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulrahman Alhosain; Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Fohaid; Dr. Mohammed Abdo Yamani; Sheikh Hashim bin Mohammed Al-Salman; Abdulmaqsoud bin Mohammed Khojah; Hussain bin Maadi Al-Hateelah; Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Ghuthami; Fahd bin Ibrahim Abu Al-Ussari; Dr. Aiyedh bin Abdullah Al-Qarni.
