21Dec2003 Crown Prince Abdullah’s visit to Kuwait

Kuwait, 21 December, 2003

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, arrived here on Sunday to lead the Saudi delegation to the 24th GCC Summit, due to be inaugurated here later Sunday. At Kuwait International Airport, Crown Prince Abdullah was received by Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, and a number of senior officials.

Earlier Sunday at King Khalid International Airport, Crown Prince Abdullah was seen off by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, and a number of princes and senior officials. The official delegation accompanying Crown Prince Abdullah includes Prince Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the President the General Intelligence, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi ambassador to Italy, as well as a number of princes, ministers and senior officials.

Crown Prince Abdullah received here on Sunday King Hamad bin Eisa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain.

The Crown Prince is heading the Saudi delegation to the 24th Summit of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),

which will start its deliberations later today. They reviewed issues pertaining to the agenda of the GCC Summit in addition to the situation in Iraq and the latest developments of the Palestinian problem, as well as the current developments in the Arab, Muslim and international arenas. The meeting was attended by the official Saudi and Bahraini delegations, accompanying the Crown Prince and Bahraini King.
