The National Guard will launch the 19th Janadriya Festival for Heritage and Culture on 17 December 2003, it was reported today.
In a statement on the activities of the Festival’s Executive Committee, Dr Abdulrahman Al-Sibait, Undersecretary of the National Guard and Chairman of the Festival’s Executive Committee, told the press that final preparations for the Festival had been successfully completed. He said that the Festival would include the great camel race, symposia, lectures, a Koran contest, a plastic arts exhibition, a handicraft market, a book fair, a photograph exhibition, and various other cultural activities. A questionnaire on the possibility of allowing families to attend the Festival as of next year will be conducted during this year’s event, Al-Sibait said.
