08Dec2003 Saudi Aramco participates in World Petroleum Conference

Saudi Aramco participated in the regional meeting of the World Petroleum Conference, which opened in Qatar today, and will end on Thursday.

Senior Vice-President for Exploration and Production, Abdullah Al-Saif, spoke at the conference on the increasing importance of the Gulf region in providing energy to the international community. Al-Saif said that the huge reserves of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf states guarantee stability of the world oil market.

The WPC was founded in London in 1933 to discuss issues of concern regarding the oil and gas industry; it has 59 member countries.
