05Dec2003 Development of Kingdom's antiquities and museums

Riyadh, 5th December 2003

Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Secretary General of the Higher Tourism Commission, said that the Commission has prepared a comprehensive plan for the development of the Kingdom’s antiquities and museums sectors.

Addressing a working session for officials of the Antiquities and Museums Agency at King Abdul Aziz Historical Centre, Prince Sultan bin Salman said that the Commission is keen to integrate tourism administration with that of antiquities and museums, in order to improve performance and enhance efficiency.

Prince Sultan bin Salman stressed the importance of developing the performance of the antiquities and museums sector in scientific research and archaeological excavations.
