03Dec2003 Minister hails Saudi-Moroccan cultural ties

Rabat, 3rd December 2003

The Moroccan Minister of Culture, Mohammed Al-Ash’ari, stressed the importance of the Saudi cultural week, which opened here on Monday, saying that it reflects current cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Morocco in various cultural fields.

The Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, Dr Abdul Aziz Khoja, said that the Saudi cultural week would enable Moroccans to become acquainted with the diverse elements of a rich Saudi cultural heritage.

He noted that the cultural week includes an exhibition of Saudi books, Arabic calligraphy, formative arts, handicrafts, and Saudi folklore. “The cultural week bears witness to firm Saudi-Moroccan relations,” he said.
