Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, on Tuesday opened the project for construction of buildings and facilities of Al-Jazerah Shield Force in the northern region.
The project is built on an area covering over six million square-metres. It includes 612 well-equipped and furnished buildings which can accommodate 6,000 officers and soldiers. The project was executed by a Saudi company at a total cost of SR900 million. The foundation stone of the project was laid on 5 January 2001.
