Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, today conveyed the Eid greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, and Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, to personnel of the Armed Forces in the Southern Region.
He conveyed the Eid greetings of the Saudi leadership during a military parade organized by the regional command at the military parade field of King Khalid Fourth Brigade.
In a speech at the venue, Prince Abdulrahman stressed the importance of adhering to Islam, which is the constitution of the Kingdom, and stressed the willingness of every Saudi citizen to defend Islam’s holy sites. He called for vigilance against the efforts of certain quarters to make the Kingdom accept man-made laws in order to pave the way for the occupation of Islam’s holy sites, similarly to the occupation of the Holy Mosque of Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
Prince Abdulrahman urged the people of the Kingdom to unite in solidarity against attempts to sow discord and disunity. He also stressed the determination of the Kingdom to adhere to the Islamic faith, and stressed the importance of effective security. The ceremony was attended by a number of princes.
